The purpose of the Citizens for Responsible Government is to give voice to the Taxpayers who work everyday to make their lives and the lives of those around them better. The Tax Facts website was established to keep taxpayers informed of the truth about taxes.

Bismarck residents are faced with the tough choice of imposing new taxes on their already heavily burdened incomes or making a choice for greater fiscal responsibility and management by voting No on Measure #1 and by electing officials with the insight and vision to improve the city without higher taxes.

According to the park and recreation magazine FOCUS, Volume IV, 2005.

 

US per capita spending on parks and recreation is $74. 

 

Per capita spending in North Dakota is $179

 

North Dakota is #1 in per capita spending and #1 for capital improvements.

 

Based upon the latest census figures and the 2006 “proposed” budget for the Bismarck Park District, Bismarck expends $241 per capita on parks and recreation.
